Jackson musings.

This boy makes me laugh & love harder.  He has a sense of humor to rival his daddy and a heart to rival his mommy.  That has to be the best of both worlds!

He just came up to me and said "Mommy, I found my swim trunks!"  Some that he had been missing.  And I said "Where did you find them buddy?".  He goes... "well... thanks to myself...".  If you know Jackson you can hear him saying "well..." all drawn out.

LOVE THIS BOY!

Grandpa Bob turns 70.

Grandpa Bob turned 70 in May (this blog is a little late but a VERY important part of our year so it had to be posted!).  We talked for months about what the best surprise would be.  A HUGE birthday bash with Bob's closest 100 friends would have been the last wish on Bob's list.  So, we decided surprising him at his gun club and shooting with him for the day would most likely be what Bob would have wished for most.  So, that's exactly what we did.  Joan made his favorite cake, Nathan took most of the day off work and the kids & I headed to River Hills.  Bob shoots there every Wednesday with some of his friends.

It was a perfect day of shooting!  We all had a great time!

We surprised him!!

 Golf cart bonus!

Grandpa explaining the game.

Grandpa is one of the best shooters out of his friends so he got to show off for us that day!

Bob teaching me.

Love this picture of Nathan teaching Jackson.

Addi driving the golf cart= one bumpy & crazy ride!

Nathan is also a VERY good clay shooter.

What a great day!  We might have to make this a ritual on Grandpa's birthday!

Weekend with Uncle Robb

This was a VERY LONG overdue trip to see Uncle Robb.  He always comes to see us so we were excited to make the trip.  Joan, the kids & I left on Thursday afternoon to make the weekend extra long.  Nathan road dad's motorcycle on Friday evening. We packed ourselves into his 1 bedroom apartment and had the perfect weekend! We swam our hearts out, hit the farmers market and ate at all of our favorites.

Farmer's Market on Saturday morning!  I've been wanting to hit Lincoln's farmers market for years and it did not disappoint!  I found some door art that is so popular in Lincoln.

There are these two brother's that are starting a gourmet donut shop- it's not open yet but they are always at the farmer's market.  I had mango-cocunut!

Enjoying our donuts on the train tracks.

Horrible pic of me but LOVE my door art! Can't wait till fall when Mr. Owl will make an appearance!

Just playing.

Pool time with daddy!

My view.

Heading to feed the ducks.

Jackson getting a motorcycle ride. SO EXCITED!

The geese freaked him out!  The first time he was running away & screaming!

These ducks were serious about their bread!

These were Addi's besties.  They followed her everywhere!

Addi was smiling from ear to ear!

LOVE this shot!

Snyder's venture to CoMo.

Once a year I see my great friend Tonya.  We travel to Michigan- or they travel here every other year.  This year was their turn to come to CoMo.  With all of it's 100 degree heat.  It's not often enough- and the visit is never long enough.  We never talk on the phone (maybe once a year) and we spend the entire visit catching up and relaxing (something we both love to do!).  It makes no difference that we only see & talk once a year- we pick up exactly where we've left off.  She's such a special person to me.  And our families couldn't get along better either!  A HUGE plus!

Love you Ton!

Addi, Max, Jackson & Monty!

Pool time!  Tonya has a spectacular water camera.

FUN!

The heat requires some cooling off- sno cones!

Monty is the funniest kid.  EVER.  You must experience him to see this.  He is indescribable.

Super slide!

The only girl all week.  She did just fine.

LOVE THIS of Parker!

He looks 10 years old here for some reason.

More cooling off.

Parker & Max.  Buddies.

Baseball!

It was our first season of baseball- and it won't be our last!  We loved it!

Jackson played on the same team as Ashton and his best friend from school- Lane.  Lane's dad Marc was his coach.  Jackson was really great and grew so much in this short spring season- especially at fielding.  I loved watching Jackson & Ashton play.  It's not easy being at the ballfields 4 nights a week but it was so much fun watching them play.

Addison (pictures below) loved playing also.  Her coach was probably the best that we experienced.  He coached, encouraged, applauded and was so hands on.  His theory was to have fun.  No matter what.  And that's what we did!  Addison was the player with the most outs!  And her coach encouraged her to "play up" next season. Which means find an older team! He said she had real talent :)

Parker also played and did a great job!  We are all looking forward to fall ball!

SO HANDSOME!

Does it get any cuter?!!

She took this game VERY seriously! Game on!

Thanks Danny & Lindsey!
