Snyder's venture to CoMo.

Once a year I see my great friend Tonya.  We travel to Michigan- or they travel here every other year.  This year was their turn to come to CoMo.  With all of it's 100 degree heat.  It's not often enough- and the visit is never long enough.  We never talk on the phone (maybe once a year) and we spend the entire visit catching up and relaxing (something we both love to do!).  It makes no difference that we only see & talk once a year- we pick up exactly where we've left off.  She's such a special person to me.  And our families couldn't get along better either!  A HUGE plus!

Baseball!

It was our first season of baseball- and it won't be our last!  We loved it!  

Jackson played on the same team as Ashton and his best friend from school- Lane.  Lane's dad Marc was his coach.  Jackson was really great and grew so much in this short spring season- especially at fielding.  I loved watching Jackson & Ashton play.  It's not easy being at the ballfields 4 nights a week but it was so much fun watching them play.

Addison (pictures below) loved playing also.  Her coach was probably the best that we experienced.  He coached, encouraged, applauded and was so hands on.  His theory was to have fun.  No matter what.  And that's what we did!  Addison was the player with the most outs!  And her coach encouraged her to "play up" next season. Which means find an older team! He said she had real talent :)

Parker also played and did a great job!  We are all looking forward to fall ball!

PNW Trip, Seattle & 26.2

Ever since we went to the Pacific Northwest last year we have been itching to get back again.  So, we chose to do our marathon in Seattle!  Nathan & I booked our trip to go out 6 days early and enjoy the Olympic Peninsula and Seattle for a few days.  Our love for the PNW grew even stronger!

A fresh market we fell in love with.  Everything organic and fresh.  We bought lunch here- panini's and some sides.  YUM!

These two pictures were almost an hour apart!  We went from beach to mountains (with snow!) in 60 minutes!

One of the reasons we chose this area was because of the killer whales in the area.  So, we went on an Orca whale watching tour.  We saw 6 killer whales that day.  Sea World is fun & fantastic place that I've always loved to go but seeing these whales in their own environment is UNBELIEVABLE!  So serene and beautiful.

No matter what plans we make.  How far in advance we make reservations.  We simply cannot have a stress-free, easy, relaxing pre-race dinner without things going wrong.  I'm not sure why it always happens that we are racing around the night before and then cannot find a place to eat.  But it happened again.  Thankfully, we ended up at one of the best places ever- The Cheesecake Factory!  It was not planned that way.  We had reservations at a different restaurant.  But our reservation came & went and all of our group couldn't make it on time.  So, we re-grouped (sorta) and thankfully CF was right around the corner from our hotel. 

Camp & Friends

Jackson's first year of camp!  We were all excited when we signed up for camp and talked all about when Daddy & I went to camp as kids, how much fun Jackson was going to have... etc... And then I started to think... "I'm going to drop Jackson off with strangers and he is going to be away from me for 7 days & night!!".  I started to freak out a bit.  I sent packages, letters, emails all week long and did fairly well.  Jackson did PERFECT and didn't have time to miss home.  He had a blast and I think he would have been fine seeing us for an hour or two and going back for another week!

While the boys (and Kayden) were off at camp we had SO MUCH FUN!  Our goal was to have JUST as much fun as the camp kids... and I think we might have achieved it!  A great friend from high school-Kera- drove from Chattanooga to bring her oldest- Kayden- to camp.  And then Kera & Emery (one of Addi's bestest friends) spent the week with us!  Here are a few pictures of our lazy summer week of fun.

Addison Graduates!

Addison Leigh Crouch graduated from College Park Christian Preschool!  I am SO proud of her and the little girl she is growing into.  She is sweet, kind, sharing, loving, strong and so many other fantastic qualities.  She is also VERY ready for Kindergarten.  She was a little sad that she didn't get to go the following week and there was a whole summer break to wait!  Mommy is VERY happy about that summer break!  I love you Addison!
